Ireland Overview
Although it is easy to assume that the Irish and neighbouring UK markets are one in the same due to their close proximity, it is important to note that each country has its own very distinct media landscape that should be targeted separately. Catering for both an English and Irish speaking audience, some print publications are imported directly from the UK and sold in exactly the same format, whilst others are partially or entirely localised to offer an Irish news focus (e.g. The Irish Sun). In addition, Ireland has a large number of national newspapers and magazines, such as the Irish Times and Irish Independent, that exist in both print and online versions.
